The Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, arrived at the Kansai International Airport, Japan, on Thursday to attend the 2-day G20 Summit<\/strong> of the world Leaders.<\/p>\n

The members of Indian community in Japan welcomed PM Modi warmly as he arrived at Swissotel Nankai Hotel.<\/p>\n

The G20 Summit will be held in Osaka, Japan from 28-29th<\/sup> June 2019<\/strong>. The discussions at the Summit will revolve around the theme \u201cHuman-Centered Future Society\u201d<\/strong>. The countries that are going to be part of this year\u2019s summit include US, UK, European Union, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, Indonesia, South Africa, Argentina, China, France, Italy, Mexico, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India & host country, Japan.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the two-day G20 Summit 2019, PM Narendra Modi met Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe<\/strong> on Thursday, 27th<\/sup> June 2019.<\/p>\n

28th<\/sup> June 2019- The First Day of G20 Summit<\/strong><\/h2>\n

As the summit commences on 28th<\/sup> June 2019, several world leaders including US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin & Chinese President Xi Jingping will be joining the meetings<\/strong> along with PM Modi.<\/p>\n

As per the reports from the Ministry of External Affairs, various bilateral meetings have been scheduled<\/strong> by PM Modi for G20 Summit 2019. The Indian PM has plans to participate in a few multi-lateral meetings as well. PM Modi will be attending the G 20 summit for the sixth time.<\/p>\n

PM Modi will address many issues of the global importance<\/strong> such as women empowerment<\/strong>, artificial intelligence<\/strong> & the need of mutual efforts to combat challenges like terrorism<\/strong>. \u00a0The Indian PM seeks to engage the countries to discuss various important issues.<\/p>\n

Insight into the meeting between Modi, Trump & Abe at G20 Summit<\/strong><\/h2>\n

According to a report from the White House, US President Trump & Indian PM Modi conducted a bilateral meeting today 28th<\/sup> June 2019.<\/p>\n

The meeting commenced as Trump joined Japanese PM Shinzo Abe at 8:30 AM. Later, PM Modi joined Trump & Abe for a tri-lateral meeting at around 9:15 AM as per local time & discussed the Indo-Pacific Initiative.<\/p>\n

The Modi-Abe Meeting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Foreign Secretary, Vijay Gokhale while addressing the media said that today\u2019s discussion between PM Modi & Abe focused on the global economy, global trade problems & data flows.<\/strong> In addition to that, the meeting was expected to come up with constructive measures to mitigate the climate change.<\/p>\n

The two leaders discussed about the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train that is currently being built in Japan. They also focused on establishing a Cancer Hospital in Kenya. PM Modi has asked PM Abe\u2019s help to build disaster-resilient infrastructure in India.<\/p>\n

The Trump-Modi Meeting<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It is assumed that the meeting between Trump & Modi addressed the strain that recently developed on the grounds of trade & economic issues between 2 countries.<\/p>\n

The Indian PM said that G20 Summit has provided an astounding opportunity to India to reinforce & reiterate multilateralism. He further added that the summit is a platform for the world to get acquainted with the India\u2019s rapid development experience of last 5 years.<\/p>\n

He sees Osaka\u2019s 2-day Summit as a significant stepping stone for India to host G20 Summit in year 2022.<\/p>\n
