The 5th<\/sup> International Yoga Day<\/strong> is set to be observed across the globe on 21st<\/sup> June 2019<\/strong>. People from different parts of the world will join the mission to raise awareness about the health benefits<\/strong> associated with yoga.<\/p>\n

In addition to that, the celebrations of international yoga day 2019 will revolve around the theme \u201cClimate Action\u201d<\/strong>. The Yoga Diwas celebrations will be followed by a panel discussion at the United Nations.<\/p>\n

Understanding Yoga-<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Yoga is an ancient Indian practice<\/strong>. Since time immemorial, Indian sages have employed Yoga to establish a connection between the body & the mind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

It is considered as one of the most efficacious means of exercising that involves breathing techniques, meditation & physical postures<\/strong> for relaxation of mind & body.<\/p>\n

June 21st<\/sup>, the longest day of the year & the day of summer solstice, was announced as the International Yoga Day by the UN General Assembly on 11th<\/sup> December 2014. The Declaration was made several months after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed the idea<\/strong> in his speech at the UN general Assembly.<\/p>\n

The first International Yoga Day was observed on 21st<\/sup> June 2015<\/strong> wherein around 200 Million people<\/strong> from all around the world practiced yoga<\/strong> with great enthusiasm.<\/p>\n

India observed yoga celebrations on a grand scale, since the declaration of World Yoga Day was made on India\u2019s initiative. Over 35985 people from 85 distinct countries practiced yoga on Rajpath<\/strong>, New Delhi for 35 minutes. Indian PM Narendra Modi participated & led this world\u2019s biggest yoga event.<\/p>\n

Theme for 5th<\/sup> International Yoga Day:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Theme for the 5th<\/sup> International Yoga Day, as announced at the United Nations, is \u201cClimate Action\u201d<\/strong>. Participants of International yoga day 2019 will not only practice yoga but also focus on the environment conservation techniques.<\/p>\n

Yoga Day Celebrations will be followed by a panel discussion at the UN General Assembly.<\/p>\n

In India, the main event of International Yoga Day 2019 will be held in Ranchi<\/strong>, capital of Indian State Jharkhand.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host the event<\/strong> & practice Yoga with Chief Minister Ragubar Das, senior officers of the state & 18,000 participants. The event will kick-start at Prabhat Tara Ground at 6:30 am<\/strong> & continue for next 45 minutes.<\/p>\n
